Wire Wrapped Wine Charms

I first saw wire wrapped wine charms when an old friend of mine from BoB put some up on the BoB auction a couple of years ago. I loved the look of them! Since then I haven't ran across them and over the years have made some hear and there. I decided to take it up a notch and make some that were a little more high end with sterling silver and Swarovski Austrian Crystals. You can now find them listed under my website's Whimsical Collection.



I will be adding some wedding themed wine charms soon that will be featuring bride and groom wine charms for the bridal champagne flutes. I will be also offering a more affordable line that will be made with glass beads and art wire instead of the Swarovski Austrian Crystals.

In the meantime I have kicked off the Wine Charms category with my Whimsical & Sassy pair of wine charms. The Wine Charms that I donated (and featured here in this blog post) are made with sterling silver wire, 4mm topaz ab and crystal ab Swarovski Austrian Crystals, freshwater pearls in blue, pink, green and golden yellow. On one end of the charm is a peridot Swarovski Austrian Crystal shaped like a butterfly and on the other end is a 3/4" sterling silver hand stamped charm. One of the charms says Whimsical for Whimsical Charms and the other charm says Sassy for Classy Sassy Girls.

Bayshore Beach Themed Charm Bracelet

My latest Whimsical Collection piece is a beached themed bracelet that I named after an avenue located in Long Beach, Bayshore. Its a popular avenue with a small beach that families like to take their little ones to in the Summertime. The avenue is even closed from 9am - 5pm to automobiles.



This bracelet is made with lead free, silver plated pewter charms and findings crafted here in California by Tierra Cast. It also features 5 Ocean Agate beads in various green, peach, brown and yellow hues and ten 4mm Swarovski(r) Austrian Crystal beads. The Swarovski crystals include Sun AB 2x, Crystal AB 2x (looks more green than clear!), Rose AB 2x and Citrone bicone beads. The Swarovski Austrian Crystals guarantee that this bracelet will sparkle on your wrist!

Earrings Earrings Earrings...

Here are some new earrings that I have been working on this week. First up is a pair of earrings made with abalone and lava beads that I accented with sterling silver and a 4mm Swarovski Austrian Crystal.

I then used the lava beads and wire wrapped with sterling silver three 4mm Swarovski Austrian Crystal in Amethyst. Taking it one step further I also have added the option to add on one 6mm Swarovski Austrian Crystal as well.

My favorite earring design of the week is the addition of my Whimsical Earrings to match the rest of the collection. If you want to take it up a step I have the Whimsical Earrings Deluxe that includes an extra five 4mm crystals to give it a little more funk! Isn't the Swarovski Austrian Crystal AB butterfly just gorgeous? This collection just makes me smile. :-)

N is for Noemi

I needed to make someone special for my wonderful assistant (from my day job, Super Mex Catering), Noemi. Without her, I don't know what I would do. I also had a request to come up with something different for earrings... well, I'm all for killing two birds with one stone (as long as they don't hurt a live bird LOL).


These gorgeous flower earring earrings is what I came up with. I think they are so pretty. The other pictures are to show how the look changes with by using different Swarovski Austrian Crystal colors in the center. Besides the Austrian Crystal the earrings were made with sterling silver and German glass beads for the flower petals.



For Noemi I also made her the dragonfly scrabble pendant. Like me, Noemi's favorite insect is a dragonfly... so, of course, she loved it! ... or at least she told me that she loved it. LOL To accent the scrabble tile pendant I made a complimentary charm out of sterling silver, Swarovski Austrian Crystals (Crystal 2 x AB and Rose). I love this so much, I might have to make one for me! :-)

I then packaged it in a cute favor tin with crinkle shred and a Whimsical Charms label on the bottom.

Whimsical Spring Bracelet

I've been working hard on trying to get my new website up and running by the end of January. I still have a lot of work to do, but it is finally taking shape! To kick off the opening I created The Whimsical Spring Bracelet to donate as a prize for a blog party that will be happening the month of February at The Diary of a Posh Mom. I love how delicate this bracelet is... so much so that I'm keeping the sample for myself! LOL In the pictures you can tell which one is the sample because there are no periwinkle colored fresh water pearls and the handstamped Whimsical is a little straighter. :D

BTW, the picture below shows an "opps" on the handstamped charm on the right. I accidentally double-stamped "i" when my hand trembled a little bit. Handstamping is so temperamental. Normally that is a good thing, but you can rest assured that doublestamps that can't be saved such as this one will be recycled by being melted down and reused and not the way I would send your charm to you.

Busy Couple of Weeks

Thank you to everyone that entrusted me with creating your Christmas gifts this year! Its been a busy couple of weeks. I just completed my last big order of the season Friday morning and mailed it out Priority Mail. Luckily it is only going about 15 miles. Whimsical Mother's Photo Bracelet

Recently I needed to make one of my closest friends a gift to help welcome her new baby, "5". Since this was her 2nd baby she didn't want a baby shower or gifts, but I couldn't not give her anything. So, since I'm in the process of trying to make samples for my new jewelry collection, Whimsical Charms I decided to make her a non-traditional sterling silver Mother's bracelet for her to showcase her family. I took these pictures quickly before giving her the bracelet, so I think I'll have to sneak over to her house sometime soon and take some better pictures.

The bracelet has 4 pewter picture charms to showcase her family (one each of the kids solo, one of them together and one of the parents together). The Swarovski Austrian Crystals represent the family's birthstones. I then handstamped on sterling silver the family's name.

Carmen loved the bracelet so much that she ended up ordering 3 matching keyrings (one for each Grandmother and one of herself). I hope you enjoy the bracelet as much as she did.
